In 1993 the Sako family bought their original ranch in the “Heart of the Hill Country”, Bandera, Texas. The hunting operation was expanded in 2003 to Cotulla, Texas, to what is now known as Uno Mas South. The South Texas Golden Triangle is world known for producing big whitetails. In 2012, the family acquired the adjoining ranch in Bandera, expanding their original operation to form what has now become Uno Mas Ranch. It is a family owned and operated full working ranch. The close-knit group of family and friends work together to create a “family-friendly atmosphere”to ensure that everyone enjoys their stay. They feel that it is the key to their successful 75% return rate.
The ranch is located in The Cowboy Capital of the World, Bandera, Texas. The location was hand chosen by owner, Ted Sako. He was born and raised here in the hill country and wouldn’t think of settling for any place else. The ranch offers breath-taking views of the beautiful hill country scenery. The hill country Autumn is truly a sight to behold. The State Natural Area backs up to this ranch and boasts miles of hiking, mountainbiking, and horse trails for the outdoor enthusiast. The city of Bandera is famous for its dude ranches, rodeos and hunting. They also host four big cycle rallies each year to give folks the opportunity to ride and enjoy the outstanding scenery.

The ranch is centrally located and close to many attractions. The old original German settlement of Fredericksburg is a short 45 minute drive. The antique shopping and abundant winerys there attract a number of tourists. San Antonio is a 45 minute drive in the other direction. The endless list of attractions there include Sea World, Fiesta Texas, Lovely old missions, including the Alamo, and of course, the RiverWalk. Small towns such as New Braunfels, Luckenbach, Kerrville, Wimberly, Johnson City and San Marcos are within easy driving distance and provide pleasant side trips.
